Our company is a comprehensive drum manufacturer that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019. We offer a wide range of products, including 200-liter drums, small to medium-sized containers, stainless steel drums, and fiber drums, continually meeting our customers’ diverse needs as a unique drum manufacturer.
Our products serve various industries, including petroleum, chemicals, automotive, healthcare, and food, making them indispensable to society. History

1919

Commenced the production of metal drums in Kita-ku, Osaka.

1935

Established as Osaka Seikan Co., Ltd.

1958

Expanded into fiber drums.

1964

Founded Kyushu Daikan Co., Ltd. (initially named Daikan Kogyo Co., Ltd.).

1966

Constructed the Tokai Factory.

1974

Established the Hirakata Factory.

1983

Relocated the Osaka Factory to Konohana-ku, Osaka.

1992

Moved the headquarters from Tokyo to Osaka.

1994

Changed the company name to Daikan Co., Ltd.

1996

Increased capital to 490 million yen.

1997

Introduced the Osaka Second Factory with a 200L automation line.

1999

Achieved company-wide ISO 9002 certification.

2003

Achieved company-wide ISO 9001 certification.

2006

Achieved company-wide ISO 14001 certification.

2009

Merged with Daiun Co., Ltd.

2014

Commenced the production of components (metal lids) for fiber drums at the Tokai Factory.

2015

Started the production of fiber packs at the Hirakata Factory.

2016

Obtained a patent for low paper dust cans.

2017

Completed the new factory of Kyushu Daikan Co., Ltd.

2019

Celebrated the 100th anniversary of establishment with commemorative events and began production of steel pan-specific drums.

2021

Completed the refresh construction of the Osaka Factory and received authorization as a general handling facility for hazardous materials.

2022

Started mass production operations for high-precision leak testers for 200L drums.
